New Table Love

OMG how in love am I???? well I have been on the look out for the perfect table for my kitchen and it has been FOUND!! Arorite green table top with additional leaf, chrome and white piping on the chairs!!! la la la whooo super excited about it and I cannot wait to get her home and put her in the kitchen...I am so happy and my kitschy kitchen is now a happy family.
Almost half way to achiving my vintage housewifey dreams ahhhh success.....

Someone get this girl some fringe ...

well I just had the cutest girl come in the shop today..her name is Allanah. She had the cutest floral dress on with adorable boots, she also just got a fab hair cut ala Vadim and she topped it all off when those ray bans went on purdy purdy gal!!

anywho she was mentioning that she read my blog...then I started thinking I have not written anything is so long...its been forever wow...so I decided I have been thinking about fringe all day so why not write!

So can you have too much fringe? can you? I dont think you can I really do not think that you cannot have enough!! I myself own so so much of it and I aodre it.
Fringe sweater, fringe jacket, fringe scarves,fringe dress shirt...you get the picture BUT do you know whats missing...FRINGE BOOTS!
oh me oh my oh I need a pair I do not have any and need some badly...its just finding a size 10..I look all the time on ETSY and every thrift shop all over the place but alas never find them ...but I am on the look out and always am...
I have attached a photo of ones I would like and also a pic of this super cute gal with fringe boots she is really adorable and I dig those boots....

Valentines that make you smile

oh how I love Valentines..how good do you feel when you get a cute little valentines from someoone special! I sure do it makes me feel all gushey inside! I am making some for everyone this year I will be posting the pics when they are ready

I am always on the hunt for old cards...I guess I am a sucker for cards, I love old ones from the 30s 40s and 50s I think they are so cute!!! some of them are pretty politically incorrect by todays standars but are still cute.
and cards were so special back then people loved giving them.
I actually keep cards that people give me...not all of them but the real special ones I sure do, they are all in a shoe box downstairs and from time to time I take them out and just laugh! I got this really great one latley from my second mom Marie its so cute and it sings rockin Robin how puuuurfect

Whats exciting is next friday I will be in a burlesque show!! my girl Laura and I will be doing a pillow fight skit soooo cute.
I will be wearing a vintage corset oo la la , a high waisted tummy cincher
cuban stockings and ruffled panties sooooooo pretty I will post photos after the show

Grilled Fromage

So the next adventure that we went on we decided to go to Squamish to hit up some thrift stores, which was pretty exciting and I will take pics of what I found there super sweet finds!! anywho so Bernie was hungry and we spotted this really awesome spot Called Grilled Fromage..one word AMAZING this shop is awesome!!!

you walk in and its really cute and retro, cute decore, old school records on the walls, a fantastic clock , humerous bulletin board thats all fake ads which had me laughing the whole time and there were random old paintings that had david Hasselhoff pasted into the painting like he was supposed to be there, twas a brilliant idea!! ( might have to make one of my own)

and to top it all off it had this mirror that said "Mirror of great shoes" and clearly the mirror does not lie if I dont say so myself they are great boots!!

basically all in all it was super fab,great little place for sure and the staff were dressed well and really sweet so if you are ever in Squamish go and eat at Grilled fromage its delish!

oh yes and I left them some art work as well on this napkin hee hee.....

And then she was on a bus...

I just took a trip recently to see my bestest friends ever Krista and Bernie, I had such a fab time but man it just makes me relise how much I miss having them live so close to me :( I was a lucky gal when I lived in whistler thats for sure but thats ok they will be here soon!!
so my lovley trip started at 6 pm on a friday ,Since I am still 29 and do not have my licence ( lame I know I have my L though working on it workin on it!! )
I took the greyhound bus for 16 hrs there, and it was totally an adventure and the perfect oppurtunity to blog along the way...

My first stop was to rock creek bc, we stopped at a gas station and man o man how I love small town gas stations, full of canadiana and lots of wolf items which I adore

The first thing I noticed when I got here was this weird ass sign...is was for a hotel and it said greek saturday? there is no resturant so what does this mean? maybe the gas stations serves greek food? hum..looked odd but I like it...

And the wolf sweaters....LOOK AT THEM sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing!! My freind Jena loves wolves as much as I do and I was going to get these for us but the debit and visa machine was down SHITE!!! le sigh I really really wanted them bad....*tear*

Then there was this awesome kitschy deer candy dish I mean every home should have one dont you think!!

oh yes and this is Mischa she is my elephant from the 50s she is my travel companion she smells like cologne I made Vadim spray her with his scent..she actually really smells super strong which Is good cause noone will sit with me!! I mean I love a good random convo but I would like to catch a few z's so this is the first stop more tomro once the pics are ready!

I have been waiting on my package to arrive and every delivery truck that passes I am like is it you?? is it???

so I will just have to be a patient little kitty cat and WAIT which I am very VERY bad at...its ok a learning experience ha.

so I was going into a lingerie shop to check out the remade styles from the 50's and the girl said we have nothing that looks like that here but" do you want to know a secret?'
I said why yes my lady I do" she told me to go to walmart? ( its a small town I live in I have looked all around walmart so I thought?)

so Off I went and then really looked...I was shocked like mega...so I know that playtex made lingerie in the 50's and they are almost exactly the same!
